History of the MineCon 2013 cape

MINECON 2013 was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, on November 2 and 3, 2013. Mojang sold 7,500 passes in three batches, and the first batch sold out within seconds.

Attendees learned in late summer that they would get an exclusive cape. Mojang sent the redeem links by email on October 30, 2013, a few days before the doors opened, according to the Minecraft Wiki.

The Orlando show also hosted the last official MINECON build and costume contests. The next convention skipped 2014 entirely and came back in London as MINECON 2015.

Design

An extended piston on green cloth. The elytra version shows the top face of the piston.
