Death messages, score and the export size

What is the Minecraft death screen? +

The red-tinted screen the game shows when you die: “You Died!” in large text, the death message that names what killed you, your score, and the Respawn and Title Screen buttons. This generator renders the message and score onto a real screenshot of it at 1280×720.

What are the Minecraft death messages? +

Every death has a message keyed to its damage source — “was slain by”, “was blown up by”, “fell from a high place”, “tried to swim in lava”, “drowned”, “burned to death”, “withered away” and so on, with an extra “using [item]” or “whilst fighting” clause when a weapon or a second mob was involved. Type any of them into the message field; the sample buttons load the most common ones.

What does the score on the death screen mean? +

Score is a stat the game tracks separately from XP: it goes up as you gain experience and resets to zero when you die. It is shown on the death screen and, on servers with the vanilla scoreboard, in the player list. The screenshot already carries the white “Score:” label, so the field here is just the value drawn after it — free text, so any number works.

Can I use these images in a video or thumbnail? +

Yes. The export is a 1280×720 PNG — the same render the Crafty API returns — which is the right size for a YouTube thumbnail, a Discord embed or a stream overlay.
