Frequently asked questions
Input formats, remainders and what splits fairly
How do I split loot fairly between players in Minecraft? +
Paste each item on its own line in the format "Diamond x12" (or "12 Diamond", "Diamond: 12", "Diamond 12" — all four are accepted), set the player count, and hit copy. The tool divides each stack as evenly as possible; whatever doesn't divide cleanly is dealt out one extra to the first players in the list, the same way you'd hand out cards. Nobody gets shorted by more than one item per row.
What about non-stackable items like Tridents or Elytras? +
Treat each non-stackable on its own line with a count of 1, 2, 3, etc. — the splitter will round per row, so two Elytras across three players gives players 1 and 2 an Elytra and player 3 zero. Trade rotations or rolling a die for tiebreakers usually works better than splitting unique drops.
Does this work for raid loot, end raids, or trial chamber rewards? +
Yes — it's purely arithmetic, so it doesn't care where the loot came from. Trial chamber and Vault rewards in 1.21+, end raid drops, raid Hero of the Village rewards, and post-wither cleanup all split the same way. The tool also handles XP if you list it as a row (e.g. "XP x500").
