Gems, cookies and firesales
How are gems turned into coins? +
Gems can't be traded, so the usual route is to buy Booster Cookies from the Community Shop for 325 gems each and sell them on the Bazaar. A gem is worth about a 325th of the cookie's Bazaar price.
Which gem pack is the best value? +
Bigger packs give more gems per dollar, and the leftover gems after the last whole cookie carry over to your next purchase. The table counts only whole cookies.
What is a firesale? +
A firesale is a limited run of a cosmetic, usually a pet or item skin, sold for gems in the Community Shop. Once the stock or the time runs out it is only on the Auction House.
Is it worth buying firesale items to resell? +
If an item's lowest BIN per gem is above the cookie rate, reselling would have earned more than cookies at today's prices. Firesale items often sell for more after the sale ends, and sometimes for less, so treat it as a snapshot.
