Geschichte des MineCon 2016-Capes
MINECON 2016 took over the Anaheim Convention Center in California on September 24 and 25, 2016. Mojang used the stage to name the Exploration Update, which shipped as Java Edition 1.11 with woodland mansions and shulkers.
As in London the year before, a ticket had to be scanned at the venue to qualify. Redeem emails went out on September 26, 2016, the day after the show, according to the Minecraft Wiki. Pocket Edition and console players got a free MINECON 2016 Skin Pack for a short window around the event instead.
It was the last in-person MINECON. From 2017 the event became a livestream that handed out no attendee capes, and the next widely distributed Java cape did not arrive until the Migrator cape in 2021.

FAQ zum MineCon 2016-Cape
How do you get the MineCon 2016 cape?
You had to attend MINECON 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California and have your ticket scanned on site. Mojang then emailed a redeem link that added the cape to your Java account. It was never sold or given out elsewhere.
Can you still get the MineCon 2016 cape?
No. MINECON 2016 was the last in-person MINECON, later shows were livestreams without attendee capes, and the Minecraft Wiki reports that Mojang disabled all unused MINECON cape codes on May 12, 2020.
Is the MineCon 2016 cape on Bedrock Edition?
Only inside a skin pack. The free MINECON 2016 Skin Pack, offered on Bedrock from September 22 to October 7, 2016, gave Steve and Alex every MINECON cape, but those capes cannot be worn with other skins.
