Geschichte des Oxeye-Capes

The Oxeye cape is named after Oxeye Game Studio, the small studio made up of Jeb, Daniel Brynolf and Pontus Hammarberg that made Cobalt, which Mojang published. Its design copies the studio's logo.

The texture went up on Mojang's texture server in September 2022, and the file's embedded timestamp goes back to October 2015. Players only learned about it on May 19, 2025, when it appeared on the account iSxckk, presumably by accident according to the Minecraft Wiki. It was removed the next day.
