Where the numbers come from

How do I play Rarer or Not? +

You see two Minecraft capes. Pick the one fewer players own. Get it right and the counts are revealed and the next pair comes up; get it wrong and the run ends. The longer your streak, the closer together the two capes' owner counts get.

Where do the owner counts come from? +

They are Crafty's own counts of players seen wearing each cape — the same numbers shown on every cape page. Capes we haven't seen anyone wearing are left out, so every pair has a real answer.

Can I play with the keyboard? +

Yes. Press the left arrow or 1 for the cape on the left, the right arrow or 2 for the cape on the right, and Enter to move on or start a new run.

Is my best streak saved? +

Your best streak is kept in this browser's local storage, so it survives a refresh but not clearing site data or switching devices.
