Geschichte des Hero-Capes
The Hero Cape brings the cape worn in the first Minecraft Dungeons into Minecraft itself. Mojang announced it on August 27, 2026 in its Dungeons II capes article for players of both games.
The cape appeared ahead of launch with the wrong texture. The Minecraft Wiki records Mojang's Marc Watson calling that unintentional, and the corrected art arriving on September 21. It became generally available when Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026.
Unlike the Twisted cape, which needed a pre-order, the Hero Cape stays open until December 31, 2026. Mojang's FAQ counts Game Pass and Steam play of the first game, as long as both games use the same Microsoft account.
Design
The hero's cape from the original Minecraft Dungeons: a golden redstone monstrosity face on red cloth, with gold trim along the bottom edge.

FAQ zum Hero-Cape
How do you get the Hero Cape in Minecraft?
Play the original Minecraft Dungeons on your Microsoft account, then log in to Minecraft Dungeons II with the same account before December 31, 2026. Once the cape shows as unlocked in Dungeons II, log in to Java or Bedrock and it appears there too. Game Pass and Steam players qualify.
Can you still get the Hero Cape?
Yes, until December 31, 2026. You need the same Microsoft account to have played the first Minecraft Dungeons and to log in to Dungeons II before that date. You do not need to have earned the hero's cape inside the original game.
Do you lose the Hero Cape if you refund Minecraft Dungeons II?
Mojang's Marc Watson warned that refunding Minecraft Dungeons II removes the cape from your Minecraft account, so keep the game if you want to keep the cape.
