Geschichte des Moonlight Trail-Capes

Moonlight Trail is the second Minecraft Experience format: an outdoor, night-time walk along a trail over a kilometre long, rather than the indoor rooms of Villager Rescue. It was announced at Minecraft Live in March 2026 and opened in Buenos Aires, Argentina on May 15, 2026.

At launch the cape only showed up on Bedrock Edition. The Buenos Aires FAQ promised Java support later, and the Minecraft Wiki records it reaching all eligible Java players on May 27, 2026.

After Buenos Aires closed, the trail moved to ParqueMet in Santiago, Chile, where Ticketmaster lists the first date as October 8, 2026. The Santiago FAQ confirms visitors there get the Moonlight Trail cape, separate from the Minecraft Experience cape given at Villager Rescue.

Buy a ticket for Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail and walk the trail. Once your ticket is scanned and the visit is done, a redemption code arrives by email within 72 hours. Redeem it on Minecraft's official code page with your Microsoft account; the code works on Bedrock Edition and the cape then shows on Java too.

Can you still get the Moonlight Trail cape?

Yes, if you can get to Santiago, Chile. The trail runs at ParqueMet in the evenings and opened in early October 2026; no closing date had been published as of late October. The first run in Buenos Aires is closed, and no other city has been officially announced.

Is the Moonlight Trail cape the same as the Minecraft Experience cape?

No. The Santiago FAQ says the Moonlight Trail cape is exclusive to this event and differs from the capes handed out at other Minecraft Experience locations, such as the Villager Rescue cape.
