Geschichte des Home-Capes

Home was the Twitch half of a stream promotion for A Minecraft Movie. Mojang announced it on March 18, 2025, together with the TikTok-only Menace cape, a little over two weeks before the film opened on April 4.

According to Mojang's movie event post, the cape was inspired by Steve's love of the mines. Three minutes of watching earned a code, the code went into the redemption page, and the cape then showed up on Java too. The window shut on April 6, 2025.

The three movie capes share one elytra design, Jack Black's version of Steve. The other in-game reward was Yearn, earned on the movie's event server.

Design

The movie's Earth portal on a grassy base against a bright blue background. The elytra shows Jack Black's Steve from A Minecraft Movie.

FAQ zum Home-Cape

How do you get the Home cape?

Between March 18 and April 6, 2025, players watched a Minecraft stream on Twitch with game rewards enabled for at least three minutes. That gave a code to redeem at minecraft.net/redeem, and the cape then worked on Bedrock and Java.
